A little bit about Gull Lake, Ontario

The Yoga: The yoga will be accessible to all levels and is meant to aid in your retreat experience. It will be a slow flow style practice with emphasis on alignment. The classes will take place on the dock outside if the weather is good. And if the weather turns then we will practice in the screened in porch. 

Climate:
 September is the most ideal time of year on Gull Lake. The weather is incredible, the bugs are minimal, and most of the summer cottagers have gone back to work/ school so less boat traffic. You can expect temperatures to be anywhere between 15 - 30 C... I know that's a wide range but it's Canada ;) The weather can vary, but most of the time the weather is still very hot in September.

The Food: Chef Mia is amazing at what she does! She will be preparing healthy farm to table style meals. We will be sourcing as many local ingredients as possible. We can cater to dietary restrictions.

What to Bring: You won't need too much for a weekend getaway. Some cozy clothes to hang out, yoga attire, a bathing suit, and a warm sweater for the evenings spent by the fire.

Solo Travelers: Not a problem at all! We have many travelers who will come solo on our trips and the casual group setting is a great environment to meet new like-minded friends. As far as your accommodations go you have two choices. We can pair you with another solo traveler of the same sex in a room with two beds or you can request your own room for a reasonable surcharge (if it is available).

Wifi: There is wifi on Sugar Island, but we strongly suggest unplugging from electronics and plugging into the beautiful nature that will surround you.
